International travel from the UAE

Dubai airport is now one of the busiest airports in the world. As well as being used by travelling residents and visitors to the Emirate, millions of passengers use this central hub to go via, when visiting other destinations.

Who can we fly with?

With one of the leading airlines in the world on your doorstep, the choice is endless! Emirates Airline flies to 164 destinations in 78 countries, across six continents from its hub in Dubai. It has a particularly strong presence in the South and Southeast Asian region, making it easy to travel to destinations such as India, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Bali, Thailand, and the Maldives – some of the most beautiful places in the world.

Other international airlines travelling to worldwide destinations include Etihad – who fly from Abu Dhabi but operate a shuttle bus service from Dubai, catering for both Emirates. British Airways, Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic also frequently fly to worldwide destinations, making travelling further afield also convenient for commuters.

If you would like to experience other Middle-Eastern countries…

Why not hop across the Arabian Gulf for the weekend?  For as little as a 50-minute flight with a budget airline such as Fly Dubai, you can visit neighboring countries include Bahrain, Doha, Beirut, Egypt, Qatar, Cyprus, Oman and Jordan.

And if you want a weekend break, where you don’t have to fly…

If you simply desire a weekend of relaxation without having to travel too far afield, there are some amazing luxury hotel resorts within 1 to 2 hours drive away. Enjoy a stay at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, Six Senses Ziggy Bay ‘Hideaway’ resort in Oman, The Chedi Hotel in Muscat, or a weekend break at the Mangrove in Ras Al Khaimah.

For those who love the outdoors and want to experience beautiful mountainous areas and the desert, jump into your 4×4 and go exploring! There are some great camping sites in the desert, not to mention acres of untouched beachfront, located in adjoining emirates such as Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah.
